Crochetamommy Crafts

I have made tons of scarves over the last few years.. but when i bought  the yarn to make some as gifts for my teachers this year.. it took me a day of searching the net, through my notes.. to remember how I made them I tend to do things differently, and this was no different. So, once i remembered, and have 2 made, working on the last one I thought i would record and post for others to see how i do them and for myself. I would definitely say, this is not for a beginner crochet or anyone unfamiliar with this yarn, this tutorial is just a quick- "This is how i do it" Scarf Video Tutorial (or how i do it) With J hook and Red heart Sashay Boutique Yarn   i like to straighten out the yarn over a cut paper towel cardboard center. i cut about an inch slit in the top and bottom to 'hook' the beginning of the yarn. then, i open the yarn up and begin wrapping it onto the holder. i can crochet faster if i open it this way instead of as i go...

Hello, I know i havent been around, while, usually i have plenty of excuses.. but this time, Its because i lost my Nana, my mother's mother on May 4, 2016. We werent close growing up, but she was always around and just recently, over the last year and a half  we have become close,  talking a few times over a couple of weeks seeing each other more, even the very last time i saw her was on my son's birthday a mere week before she died. She is greatly missed and will always be remembered. I am finishing up my last semester of school to become a dental assistant.   So far, for clinics, i have helped out at an general dentist, orthodontist, endodontist, pediodontist,  And i have to say, my very favorite is a tie between Endodontist and the Orthodontist  I have also been crafting and coloring during my free time.  some digital, some traditional in an adult coloring book.. Color...

Ah, Spring break.. It came.. it left...  Stayed busy the whole time it felt.... but.. as promised, some dental things that i have been working on in Lab class for the last few months. I did have a tooth with a sealant and a tooth with a liner applied, but i forgot to put them in the picture.. maybe next time!!! and here is a cutie that i made and colored: and fresh off the camera...  a new hobby with a little friend that i painted! Lets see...  I have been in classes,  going 1 day a week to a clinical site that takes 1hr /30min drive, studying for the classes, helping my boys around house... So, ive been busy.. but, its starting to get into a routine about things, semester almost half way over with,  then on to my last one, which ends middle of August!! So, usually i start far back and come to the most recent,  but today, i wanted to show what i made for the wonderful dental assistant that has been helping me at clinics.. I wanted to start off by wishing you all a wonderful New Year to come! Not drawn by me, but colored by me! This year to come, I know it will be a busy one, but i feel that we can handle it together! Hello to all! Thank you for stopping by. This update, I wanted to show a sun catcher  that I painted in the memory of my aunt  who passed away November 21, 2015 She loved owls, and every time I seen them I always thought of her. and now.. I will hang this and remember. She came into the family when i was young and at first, I didnt like her, but i didnt know her and she was replacing the  aunt that i had known. but over the years.. She showed she was loving, patient and just wasnt going anywhere.. Oh how i have grown to love her. She loved Phil Collins.  and I will always think of her when i hear him. and.. when i used to spend the weekends over there,  while we were the only ones up, oh so late at night.. she had me hooked on... Hello to all! Thank you for stopping by,  I realized i was updating regularly and then just.. fell of the face of the earth? But with stress and life.. Sometimes i dont do anything to show, other times i do crafts and things, but no time to show..
